TOPIC: According to a survey conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation, one in
four sexually active American teens and young adults have unprotected sex in
combination with alcohol or drugs, an article by Reuters reports. The survey
found that teens 15 and older who consumed alcohol were seven times more likely
to have sexual relations than teens who didn't drink, while teens who took
drugs were five times more likely. This is the first study to examine teen drug
and alcohol use and how it is linked to sexual activity, according to the
Kaiser Foundation and the National Center of Addiction and Substance Abuse.
