ADVISORY/Experts Available to Discuss Random Drug Testing in Public High Schools.

Business Editors

ADVISORY...
TOPIC: In a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of random drug tests for public high school students who are involved in competitive and team-oriented extracurricular activities, according to an article by The Associated Press. Previously, drug testing was only allowed for student athletes. Although the court did not approve random drug testing for all students, some justices have expressed interest in addressing that issue in the future. Among the dissenters was Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg who wrote the testing program was "not reasonable," the article says.
