Business Editors

ADVISORY...

--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 11, 2002
TOPIC: The Associated Press reports that nearly 100 postal workers who handled
irradiated mail last fall have reported minor health problems they attribute to
the treated mail. According to union leaders cited in the story, a fraction of
the workers handling the mail, which was treated for anthrax, have experienced
nausea, headaches, nosebleeds and similar symptoms. According to the story, the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the postal service are
investigating the claims and have instated new precautions to limit the gaseous
byproducts of the irradiation. EXPERTS: ExpertSource can offer several highly
