TOPIC: A new study funded by the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and
Quality and reported in the Journal of the American Medical Association, claims
that physician's guidelines for treating illnesses are largely outdated. In the
study, 13 of 17 government guidelines for treating illnesses were outdated, and
seven of those required "major updates" despite the fact that they were less
