TOPIC: A government report estimates 41 million Americans are pre-diabetic, meaning their blood sugar is high enough to increase their risk of getting full-blown diabetes, according to an article by The Associated Press. Physicians changed the criteria for testing patients because patients who were at-risk for diabetes were being missed, which explains the dramatic increase.
