ADVISORY/Experts Available To Discuss Growing Pay Gap Between Women and Men.

Business Editors

ADVISORY...

--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 24, 2002
TOPIC: According to a report by the General Accounting Office, most female
managers earned less compared with men in 2000 than they did five years
earlier. Full-time female managers earned less than their male counterparts in
all 10 fields surveyed in 1995 and 2000, and in seven of the fields the
earnings gap grew during the five-year period, according to a story by
USAToday. In the communications industry, for example, the GAO found that
female managers made 86 cents for every dollar earned by male managers in 1995,
while five years later a woman in the same field made 73 cents for every dollar
earned by a man, the story said. EXPERTS: ExpertSource can offer several highly
