ADVISORY/Experts Available To Discuss Decreased New Construction in August.

Business Editors

ADVISORY...

--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 19, 2002
TOPIC: The residential construction market experienced a 2.2 percent decline in August from July, according to an article by The Associated Press. A report from the Commerce Department claims this is the lowest level of new housing projects since April. The decline came as a shock to analysts who forecasted a rise of 1.8 percent in August, the article says. Home builders cited economic uncertainties, the stock market and eroding consumer confidence as reasons for the decline.
