TOPIC: The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a study that shows the nation's rate of deaths related to drunken driving has decreased by more than half during the past two decades, according to an article by The Associated Press. The rate of alcohol-related traffic deaths in 1982 was 1.64 per 100 million vehicle miles traveled, compared to 0.63 last year. The study also shows the rates vary significantly across the United States.
