Who:

Prior to joining Amazon.com as Music Editor-in-Chief, Keith

spent 13 years as an editor for regional and national music

magazines, including BAM Bam (bäm), town (1996 pop. 70,100), Kerman prov., SE Iran, on the intermittent Bam River. Located on the western edge of the Dasht-e Lut, Bam is a trade center in a henna-growing region. Dates and other fruits are also grown; camels are raised. , Request and Rolling Stone. His

writing has also appeared in Spin, Salon and the Village

Voice, and in 1997 he won an ASCAP-Deems Taylor Award for his

magazine profile of guitarist John Fahey. In June 1999, Keith

was named one of the most powerful music critics in America by
