WHAT: Clean Diesel Engine Implementation Workshop to track progress,
challenges and feasibility of meeting 2007 federal deadline
for reduced diesel emissions in heavy-duty trucks and buses.

WHEN: 12:00 pm, Wednesday, August 6 to 3:00 pm, Thursday, August 7

WHY: In 2001 the U.S. EPA overhauled environmental emission
standards for heavy-duty vehicles with diesel engines. The
regulations require a 90% reduction in particulate matter and
nitrogen oxides to significantly contribute to cleaner air.

The new standards will be costly and difficult to achieve.
These meetings bring together all the stakeholders to discuss
where the industry stands with regard to meeting these federal
        guidelines by 2007.

WHERE: Forum Meeting Room
        Hyatt Regency O'Hare
        9300 W. Bryn Mawr Ave.
