Brocade Demonstration Features Emulex's HBAnyware Solution To Help

Simplify SAN Management

WHAT:       Emulex Corp. (NYSE:ELX), the world's leading provider of
            storage networking host bus adapters (HBAs), is
            participating in a storage networking technology
            demonstration with Brocade Communications Systems Inc.
            (Nasdaq:BRCD) at CeBIT, March 12-19, 2003, at the Hanover
            Exposition Center in Hanover, Germany; Hall 1, Booth 9a2.

            Brocade's demonstration incorporates Emulex host bus
            adapters and its recently announced HBAnyware(TM)
            technology into the Brocade FabricManager to illustrate
            the benefits of managing multiple HBAs via the fabric from
            a single console. HBAnyware features the ability to
            upgrade HBA firmware anywhere in a Fibre Channel or iSCSI
            SAN from a single console, thereby simplifying management
            and reducing planned maintenance downtime.  HBAnyware is
            compatible across all generations of Emulex HBAs and is
            supported by Emulex's entire installed base of nearly 1
            million host bus adapters.

            Also featured in the Brocade large-scale SAN demonstration
            is Emulex's 2Gb/s LP9002L HBA, which enables connectivity
            between multiple servers and the Brocade SilkWorm 12000
            Core Fabric Switch.  Available in 64-port and dual 64-port
            configurations, SilkWorm 12000 expands the capabilities of
            existing Fibre Channel storage environments, setting a new
            industry standard for performance, functionality,
            flexibility and information availability in the storage
            environment. Together, Emulex and Brocade products enable
            customers to scale storage more effectively, support
            continuous data availability, and simplify storage
            management.
