E Ink Corporation E Ink Corporation is a privately held manufacturer of electrophoretic displays (EPDs), a kind of electronic paper. E Ink is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and was founded in 1997 by Joseph Jacobson, a professor in the MIT Media Lab. , the leading developer of electronic ink technology for paper-like displays, today announced the opening of a flexible microelectronics microelectronics, branch of electronic technology devoted to the design and development of extremely small electronic devices that consume very little electric power.  facility in Woburn, Mass. The 9,500 square foot building will house E Ink's Microelectronics Technology Group. The group will develop microelectronics, including flexible transistors, which will enable E Ink to create paper-like display prototypes next year.
