What: It's "back to school" time for the
largest incoming class in Drexel'S
109-year history, as the University hosts
2,400 incoming freshman and transfer
students and their families at its annual
summer orientation. Giving new students
the opportunity to get to know Drexel's
campus, faculty and staff, the program
spans two-days and includes seminars,
demonstrations and fun activities.
When & Where: Monday, July 17 and 20, 2000, at the
Mandell Theatre in the Creese Student
Center Complex (32nd and
Chestnut Streets).
Special Events: President's Welcome
10-11 a.m. @ Mandell Theater
Dr. Constantine Papadakis will speak to
an overflow crowd of students and
families about Drexel's exciting new
high-tech "Wireless" campus. As of this
fall, Drexel will be the first university
in the country to operate as a completely
wireless CyberCampus. Students will be
able to log onto the Internet and
Drexel's Intranet from anywhere on campus
to retrieve e-mail, conduct research or
collaborate with fellow students on class
assignments.
