WHAT

The ninth edition of Deloitte & Touche's biennial biennial, plant requiring two years to complete its life cycle, as distinguished from an annual or a perennial. In the first year a biennial usually produces a rosette of leaves (e.g., the cabbage) and a fleshy root, which acts as a food reserve over the winter.  opinion survey of hospital CEOs will be sent to more than 5,000 hospital executives across the country this week. For the first time in its 16-year history, the survey and related analysis will be available online as well. These new electronic capabilities make taking the survey - and comparing answers to those of industry peers - fast and effective.

ABOUT THE SURVEY

For nearly two decades, The Future of Health Care, An Outlook from the Perspective of Hospital CEOs, has been designed to track specific areas of change in the health care industry and to unveil emerging issues from the perspective of hospital executives. Since the National Health Care and Life Sciences Practice of Deloitte & Touche began conducting the survey in 1986, it has consistently held one of the most impressive response rates among similar surveys in the industry and has contributed to the discussion of needed changes in the health care industry.
