ADVISORY/Dell to Present `Direct Perspectives' From Dell Online Poll At COMDEX Briefing Nov. 16.

WHO: Dell Computer Corporation Chairman and CEO Michael Dell

WHAT: Dell Computer Corporation (NASDAQ:DELL) invites you to a media
      briefing at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, to learn more about
      Dell's position on significant emerging information technology
      issues identified through online polling of its customers. The
      online poll asked respondents to rate their level of concern
      with I/T issues ranging from the implications of Y2K to the
      integration of the Internet in business applications. After the
      "Direct Perspectives" media briefing, the company will host a
      media reception. Dell also will conduct customer briefings
      during COMDEX.

WHEN: 4:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 16, 1998

WHERE: Las Vegas Country Club, 3000 Joe W. Brown Drive

Immediately following the briefing, Dell's senior executive team will
host a "Keynote Relief" media reception at the Las Vegas Country Club.

RSVP's for the briefing and reception may be submitted by calling

Transportation to the Las Vegas Country Club will be provided from
Dell's meeting room in the Las Vegas Convention Center, S101, and from
the Group Bus Tour Lobby of the Bellagio Hotel beginning at 4 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 16. Transportation from the Las Vegas Country Club to
local hotels will be available after the reception.

SPECIAL EVENTS: Kenneth Hill, online business development manager for
                Dell's Relationship Group, will participate on a
                COMDEX/FALL '98 Panel: "Total Cost of Ownership:
                Mapping Costs to Customer Satisfaction," on Wednesday,
                Nov. 18, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Pavilion 9
                of the Las Vegas Hilton.
