(Sept. 11) --(BUSINESS WIRE) MEDIA ADVISORY WHAT: Dell (Nasdaq:DELL), Microsoft and Intel are sponsoring Dell's DirectConnect customer conference, a one-day learning event where customers will discuss with company executives the latest industry trends, and newest products and services, and learn how to get better value from information technology and Internet infrastructures. Chicago is the first DirectConnect event. Others have been scheduled later in the month in San Francisco and New York City. Customers from Chicago and the upper Midwest are invited to attend the event, which begins with a general session from 8:30-11 a.m. featuring keynotes from executives of the three sponsoring companies. A Partner and Product Pavilion will showcase demonstrations of the latest hardware and software solutions from the three event sponsors and other participating technology companies. Breakout sessions focused on enterprise products, client products and best practices will be held for customers in the afternoon. Media are invited to benefit from the technology presentations and demonstrations. Media may attend the general session and visit the Product Pavilion. Breakout sessions are restricted to customer attendance only. Media must register before being admitted to the event.
