WHAT: DIRECTV, Inc. announced today that it has added WWOR (UPN)
to its local channel lineup in the New York City designated
market area (DMA).
WHEN: New York City DIRECTV customers subscribing to the local
channel package will begin receiving WWOR today, Wednesday,
Oct. 18. Local channel service in the New York City DMA
began in November 1999.
With the addition of WWOR, DIRECTV customers in the New York
City DMA now receive the following local channels via
satellite:
-- WABC (ABC)
-- WCBS (CBS)
-- WNBC (NBC)
-- WNYW (FOX)
-- WPIX (WB)
-- WWOR (UPN)
