WHAT:  DIRECTV, Inc. announced today that it has added KTVX (ABC) to
       its local channel lineup in the Salt Lake City designated
       market area (DMA).

WHEN:  Salt Lake City DIRECTV customers subscribing to the
       local channel package began receiving KTVX Friday,
       June 16. A free preview of the local channel service
       began Saturday, June 2.

       With the addition of KTVX, DIRECTV customers in the
       Salt Lake City DMA now receive the following local
       channels via satellite:

    -- KTVX (ABC)
    -- KUTV (CBS)
    -- KSL (NBC)
    -- KSTU (FOX)
    -- KJZZ (UPN)

       DIRECTV customers can subscribe to their local
       channel package for $5.99 per month. In addition to
       local broadcast network channels, a national PBS
       feed is included in each local channel package at no
       additional charge.

       Local channels are delivered to DIRECTV customers in
       Salt Lake City from DIRECTV's primary orbital slot
       at 101 degrees West Longitude. DIRECTV customers can
       receive their local channels as well as DIRECTV's
       current lineup of national digital entertainment and
       information programming through their existing
       set-top box and 18-inch antenna.
