ADVISORY/Conoco Partners With Second Baptist in `Adopt-A-Block' to Clean Flood Damage.

Volunteers from Conoco's 3,000-member Houston headquarters corporate team of employees, retirees, contractors, families and friends will provide the manpower for a six-block area clean-up in Houston neighborhoods hardest hit by floodwaters. Conoco's Chairman and CEO Archie Dunham is giving all company volunteers a day off with pay on Friday, June 15. Dubbed a "Weekend of Caring," Conoco's efforts in partnership with Second Baptist Church will extend into the weekend.

When:         Friday, June 15 and Saturday, June 16, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where:        Highway 90, exit Mesa Road, located between Ley Road and
              Tidwell Street. Adopt-a-Block locations, where Halls and
              Greens bayous merge, include the streets of Talton,
              Chatwood, Homewood, Woodlyn, Laura Koppe and Oak Knoll.

Action Plan:  Assessment teams from Conoco visited with families
              today, which will receive its assistance. Starting
              Friday, Conoco employee volunteers will go out in teams
              of 20, and clean each of the homes located within the
              six-block radius.

Faith-Based Partnership in Action:
              Saturday, June 16, at 10 a.m., Dr. Ed Young and Second
              Baptist members will join Conoco's corporate team in its
              second day of the clean-up program.
