ADVISORY...for Thursday Thursday: see week.  to Sunday Sunday: see Sabbath; week.  (Jan. 8-11)

2004 International CES

--(BUSINESS WIRE)

WHO: Conexant Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CNXT) a worldwide leader in
semiconductor system solutions for communications applications
and Pixelworks, Inc. (Nasdaq:PXLW), a leading provider of
system-on-chip ICs for the advanced display industry, will
feature a new digital television platform at CES 2004 in a
private suite at the Venetian Hotel, Jan. 8-11.

ATTN: Editors and industry analysts covering technologies for LCD
        flat panel television displays.

WHAT: Conexant and Pixelworks will demonstrate a jointly developed
platform that supports fully functional displays of either
        DVB-T terrestrial, DVB-S satellite or analog PAL/NTSC
television streams on a 17-inch LCD flat panel display.

LCD flat panel displays include a number of advantages over
traditional CRTs, projection TV and plasma display panels
including a slimmer profile, and lower power consumption.
Demand for these products is growing significantly, and this
new platform will enable manufacturers to base their product
designs on this chipset from Conexant and Pixelworks.

The demonstration platform leverages Conexant's expertise in
digital demodulation and video processing decoding, and
Pixelworks' proficiency in image enhancement and display
processing to provide manufacturers the ability to receive,
decode and process a video stream entirely in the digital
domain, and display high-quality images on LCD flat panel
        displays.

The new platform includes Conexant's single-chip terrestrial
demodulator, satellite tuner and demodulator, MPEG decoder and
PAL/NTSC decoder, as well as Pixelworks' de-interlacer and
scaler semiconductor solutions for image enhancement and
        display processing.
