That's when the Minnesota chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) is a leading association for public relations professionals. IABC has about 14,000 members in more than 100 chapters in 70 countries. Its headquarters are located in San Francisco, California, United States. (IABC IABC International Association of Business Communicators IABC Indo-Americans for Better Community ) will reveal which of the state's communication professionals exhibited "Star Power" in 2002. The group's annual Bronze Quill Awards banquet will take on a Hollywood theme as IABC honors Minnesota's best and brightest communicators at noon at the Radisson Hotel South. "We wanted this year's Star Power award banquet to be both prestigious and fun," says Jennifer Gatti, director of awards programming. "The Bronze Quill entries were marked with high creativity and a sense of playfulness. We wanted our ceremony to reflect that." The Bronze Quills are the highest state honors IABC gives for communications excellence. IABC chapters in Des Moines Des Moines, city, United States Des Moines (dĭ moin`), city (1990 pop. 193,187), state capital and seat of Polk co., S central Iowa, at the junction of the Des Moines and Raccoon rivers; inc. , Kansas City Kansas City, two adjacent cities of the same name, one (1990 pop. 149,767), seat of Wyandotte co., NE Kansas (inc. 1859), the other (1990 pop. 435,146), Clay, Jackson, and Platte counties, NW Mo. (inc. 1850). and Phoenix judged the Minnesota entries and could designate up to one Award of Excellence and two Awards of Merit per category. Entrants were judged both on their communication projects and on the projects' work plans, which detailed project objectives, target audience, strategy, budget and results.
