WHAT: Filled with holiday spirit, Columbia Sportswear Company(R) (Nasdaq:COLM)
donated over $28,000 in product (jackets and t-shirts) to this year's
"Christmas for Kids" program. This annual community service program sponsored
by the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors- Portland
(NAIFA-Portland) helps underprivileged children in the community receive coats,
clothing and toys for the holidays. Teachers from various school districts,
including Portland, Tigard/Tualatin, David Douglas, Beaverton, Hillsboro,
Forest Grove, and Clackamas schools individually nominate the children who are
in need of assistance. Representatives from NAIFA-Portland, Columbia
Sportswear, and other corporate sponsors will help the children "shop" for
items that they would like to have for the holidays. WHEN: Friday, December 8,
2000 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. WHERE: Hollywood West Fred Meyer Store (Entrance B) 3030
