The University Club of Washington, D.C. will present the inaugural Tewaaraton Trophy Tewaaraton Trophy is an award given to the top American college lacrosse player, since 2001. It is the equivalent of the Heisman Trophy in football. There are awards given to the top male lacrosse and female lacrosse players.  for the outstanding male and female collegiate lacrosse lacrosse (ləkrôs`), ball and goal game usually played outdoors by two teams of 10 players each on a field 60 to 70 yd (54.86 to 64.01 m) wide by 110 yd (100.58 m) long. The ten finalists as selected by the Men's and Women's Coaches committees will be honored. Legendary sportscaster Dick Schaap will serve as master of ceremonies.
