ADVISORY/Climbing the Corporate Ladder: Competitors Set to Climb 1,500 Stairs at the Library Tower for the Ketchum-Downtown YMCA's "Stair Climb to the Top" Fund-Raiser.

WHAT: Southern California fire fighters, corporate teams from the
downtown business community and individual stair climbers from
around Southern California will compete in the Ketchum-
Downtown YMCA's 6th Annual "Stair Climb to the Top." The
competition will take place at the Library Tower in downtown
Los Angeles -- the tallest building west of the Mississippi.
Competitors will race from the ground floor on Fifth Street to
the rooftop for a total of 75 floors.

4:15-6:30 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 26
8 a.m.-1 p.m.
WHO: More than 600 participants are expected to compete in the
three competition category areas:
-- Southern California fire fighters
Competition: 4:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 25
-- Los Angeles corporate teams from the downtown area
Competition: 5:15 p.m., Friday, Sept. 25
-- Individual stair climbers
Competition: 8 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Sept. 26
Day-of-event registration open to competitors

Times; Latham & Watkins; Staples Center; the Los Angeles

WHY: Proceeds of this annual event go to the Ketchum-Downtown YMCA
