Graduates and teachers from 1956 through 2000 are attending. A
        crowd of 2000 is expected.

      WHY:
44 years after the first Wantagh graduating class of 1956, a
dedicated group of alumni have invited the entire group of
graduates, teachers and staff back for a major reunion event.

      REUNION BACKGROUND

A student from Wantagh High School turned to ClassMates.com to
help find classmates for a reunion. She discovered fewer than 200
people from her school had registered. Mindye Kahn, Class of '75,
spread the ClassMates.com name, and more and more former classmates
signed up. Together with fellow alumna Abby Lubmen, they began
organizing small-scale reunions. After three successful events, they
are now organizing an all-school reunion for all graduates. Glenn
Strachan joined the organizers and convinced the Wantagh principal to
allow the event on campus. More than 800 additional Wantagh alumni
have signed up on ClassMates.com since Kahn and organizers announced
the all-school reunion. "We could have never organized such a
monumental event without the help of ClassMates.com. With close to
2,000 graduates and former teachers expected to attend, we owe this
good time to ClassMates.com," said Kahn. ClassMates is also helping as
a sponsor of the reunion.
