A Grand Opening of the newly renovated Rochester Hills City Hall is scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2004. The public is invited to attend the festivities fes·tiv·i·ty

 will begin at 9:00 a.m. followed by tours of the facility conducted by city employees. State and local dignitaries have been invited. Scheduled speakers include Mayor Pat Somerville, City Council President John Dalton Dalton, city (1990 pop. 21,761), seat of Whitfield co., extreme NW Ga., in the Appalachian valley; inc. 1847. The project includes a 34,000 SF addition and a 33,000 SF renovation of the existing facility located on the 85 acre wooded site off Avon Road just west of Livernois. Noteworthy is the fact that the project has come in at nearly half a million dollars under budget.

Mayor Somerville noted that the newly renovated 67,000 SF building "will meet the needs of the 140 onsite city employees as they provide service to the public. It is a reflection of the positive growth of the city today while meeting the needs of the public into the future."
