WHAT:   Scott Grout, president and CEO of Chorum Technologies in
        Richardson, Texas, will participate in the WBAP 820 AM radio
        show `Tech N Touch' this Sunday evening. The show, which is
        ranked number one in its time slot in the Dallas/Fort Worth
        market, follows a "Washington Week" format, where moderator
        Kym Yancey leads the question and discussion with Ron
        Robinson, president of the Metroplex Technology Business
        Council and panelists who represent the Telecom Corridor(R) of
        Richardson, Texas. `Tech N Touch' is sponsored by the Telecom
        Corridor(R) Area through the Richardson Economic Development
        Partnership.

WHO:    Scott Grout has been president and CEO of Chorum Technologies
        since 1998. Since his appointment, the company has grown from
        a strong, technology-focused company, to a company with a
        broad product family and volume deliveries to many leading
        next-generation optical communications providers. Grout has 18
        years of fiber-optic, communications systems and networking
        experience. Before joining Chorum Technologies, he was vice
        president of product management and marketing in Lucent
        Technologies' Optical Networking Group. Grout holds a bachelor
        of science degree in engineering from the University of
        Wisconsin -- Madison and a master of business administration
        degree from the Sloan School at the Massachusetts Institute of
        Technology.
