WHAT: Scott Grout from Chorum Technologies in Richardson, Texas, will
present "Hardening of the Capillaries: How close to the network
will WDM drive software, switching and tuning complexity?" at
the Gilder/Forbes Telecosm 2001 Conference. The fifth annual
Telecosm Conference, held Sept. 12-14, 2001, brings together
distinguished speakers from successful companies for formal and
informal dialogue with government, technology and business
decision-makers.
WHO: Scott Grout has been president and CEO of Chorum Technologies
since 1998. Since his appointment, the company has grown from a
strong, technology-focused company, to a company with a broad
product family and volume deliveries to many leading
next-generation optical communications providers. Grout has 17
years of fiber-optic, communications systems and networking
experience. Before joining Chorum Technologies, he was vice
president of product management and marketing in Lucent
