Credit Suisse First Boston's (CSFB) Annual
Communications Technology Conference. The CSFB
Technology Conference is a three-day event where
more than 150 institutional investors and more than
100 high-level executives from technology companies
across the United States and Europe converge for one
of the most impressive forums on communications
during the year.

Scott Grout is president and CEO of Chorum
Technologies. Since his appointment in 1998, the
company has grown from a strong, technology-focused
company, to a company with a broad product family
and volume deliveries to many leading next-
generation optical communications providers. Grout
has more than 16 years of fiber-optic,
communications systems and networking experience. He
was formerly vice president of product management
and marketing in Lucent Technologies' Optical
Networking Group. During his tenure with AT&T's
Professional Services division, Grout worked on a
number of key aspects of the spin-off to form
Lucent, including placement of company's finance,
personnel, products and processes resources, as well
as the preparation and execution of Lucent
Technologies' initial public offering in April 1996.
He holds a bachelor of science degree in engineering
from the University of Wisconsin -- Madison and a
master of business administration degree from the
Sloan Fellowship Program at the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology.
