  Committee of 100 Annual Conference in Los Angeles to provide forum
        for dialogue for Americans of Chinese and Asian descent

WHAT:    Leading authorities on Chinese-American relations will
         discuss national and international policy issues, Chinese and
         Asian-American influence in film and television, and the
         Asianization of U.S. businesses during a two-day conference
         on May 5 and 6.

WHEN:    Friday, May 5, at 7:30 a.m.
         Saturday, May 6, at 9:45 a.m.

       The morning panel and lunch on May 6 will be held at the

         last May by a House select committee chaired by Rep.
         Christopher Cox.

BACKGROUND:
         The Committee of 100 is a national, non-partisan organization
         of American citizens of Chinese and Asian descent. Members
         have achieved leadership positions in the United States in a
         broad range of professions, together pooling their strengths
         and experiences to address important issues concerning the
         Chinese-American community and U.S.-Chinese relations.
