unveil the new Aon Center signs at 200 East Randolph.
BACKGROUND: Built in 1972, Aon Center is the second tallest office
building in the city of Chicago. The 2.4-million-square-foot
tower is 80 stories tall and features a white granite exterior.
The Aon Center is owned by BRE-Randolph LLC, an affiliate of the
Blackstone Group, and is the new headquarters for the Aon
Corporation, the anchor tenant of the property. Approximately
1,800 Aon Corporation employees are scheduled to occupy the Aon
Center effective September 2001.
