WHAT: The Discovery Channel will host a horse-drawn Egyptian
chariot and team of costumed attendants in Manhattan's famous
Times Square district, announcing that the Pharoah Rameses's
son is dead, and asking "Was it the hand of God or Man?" This
dramatic surprise to the usual morning commute will bring the
excitement of ancient Egypt to New York City in celebration of
the premiere of "Rameses: Wrath of God or Man?"
WHEN: Friday, December 3rd, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
WHERE: Times Square from 7th Avenue to Broadway to 6th Avenue via
West 44th Street and around again via West 49th Street.
WHY: Discovery Channel will premiere "Rameses: Wrath of God or
Man?" on Sunday, December 5th, 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Skulls found
by world-renowned Egyptologist Kent Weeks in the Valley of the
Kings are believed to be the sons of legendary Pharaoh Rameses
the Great; one skull may be that of the firstborn son, who may
have been killed during the 10th plague described by Exodus.
The badly fractured skull has been analyzed as part of this
Discovery Channel investigative program on the extraordinary
life of Rameses II.
