What: Inaugural ceremonies to mark the beginning of Horizon
Air's new nonstop service to Boise.
Where: Sacramento International Airport, Gate 27
When: Monday, Feb. 4, 2002 from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
Why: "This new service to Boise, coupled with the recent
initiation of Palm Springs service, shows that Horizon Air
recognizes the dynamic nature of Sacramento's air service
market," noted Hardy Acree, director of airports for the
Sacramento County Airport System. "We look forward to the
ongoing success of Horizon at Sacramento International
Airport."
"The Sacramento-Boise nonstop service is one
of our most frequently-requested new routes," said Patrick
Zachwieja, Horizon Air vice president of marketing and
planning. "We're delighted to be making travel between
these two important cities easier for our customers."
Flights: Sacramento-Boise flights will depart Sacramento at 6 a.m.
every day except Sunday and at 2:15 p.m. daily.
Boise-Sacramento flights will depart Boise at 1:10 p.m.
daily and at 8:30 p.m. every day except Saturday.

The 95-minute flights will cut in half the shortest air travel
time currently available between Sacramento and Boise.
Horizon Air is the only airline to offer nonstop service between
the capitals of California and Idaho.
The new service will be routed from Sacramento to Boise to Spokane
and return twice daily, providing an additional benefit of new
one-stop, same-plane service between Sacramento and Spokane.
Sacramento-Boise flights will be operated with new, 70-seat Q400
high-speed turboprops.
Horizon Air has served Sacramento since 1994 and currently offers
nonstop jet service from Sacramento to Portland. Horizon recently
announced new nonstop jet service to Palm Springs from Jan. 6 to April
28, 2002. Horizon's sister company, Alaska Airlines, offers nonstop
jet service to Seattle.
Horizon Air operates flights to cities throughout California,
Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Montana, Alberta and British Columbia.
