WHAT: "MESSENGER OF HOPE" WALK
WHY: October marks National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and
Carson Pirie Scott & Co. is "stepping up" to draw attention to
the fight against breast cancer.
The "Messenger of Hope" walk will gather employees of Carson
Pirie Scott & Co. whose lives have been touched by breast
cancer - with members of the Lynn Sage Cancer Research
Foundation and Northwestern Memorial Hospital for a symbolic
walk through the streets of downtown Chicago.
Carson Pirie Scott & Co. chairman and CEO, Michael MacDonald,
will carry a check for $75,000 that he and his fellow
supporters will hand deliver to the Lynn Sage Cancer Research
Foundation, celebrating its 15th anniversary. Breast cancer
survivor Lieutenant Governor Corinne Wood, will join the group
for the final leg of the walk and attend a reception
immediately following the event. Breast cancer survivors will
be among the guests.
