WHAT: Political Pulse (www.politicalpulse.com) has covered
California and Sacramento politics for nearly 20 years.
Its editor, Anthony York, is a frequent commentator on TV
and radio news and talk shows, providing insights and
helping to explain to local and national audiences the
dynamics of the recall election and California politics.

WHO: Anthony York is editor of Political Pulse, a newsletter
covering Sacramento and California politics for nearly 20
years. Before joining Pulse, he served as Washington
correspondent and associate editor for Salon.com, was
associate editor for the California Journal and a reporter
for the Sacramento Bee's Capitol Alert. He is a California
            native.

He regularly speaks with radio and TV news media about the
recall and other vagaries of California politics.

ETC: Here's what Political Pulse had to say in the past week
through updates it provides free of charge to news media
            and the public:

            Down in the Valley

Arnold Schwarzenegger heads to the Valley today. The
Central Valley, that is, hotbed of Republican votes and
California conservatism. As he makes his tour of local
farms, charter schools and open air markets, he will be
doing so without the area's popular state senator,
Republican Charles Poochigian. The fact that Poochigian is
not there in person is no big surprise. He is in
Sacramento, in the center of a huge fight over workers'
compensation reform. But Schwarzenegger is also making his
way through the Valley without Poochigian's
endorsement. For the complete story, go to:
