                    Bovard Auditorium, University of Southern
                     California campus, Los Angeles

Media Credentials   -- Deadline: Feb. 23, 5 p.m. PST
                    -- Written requests on letterhead must include
                        for each working journalist:
                        -- Name
                        -- Social Security number and date of birth
                        -- Title/position
                        -- Media organization
                        -- Postal and email addresses
                        -- Office, cell and fax numbers
                        -- Supervisor name, title, telephone and
                            email address
                        -- Whether a work space in the filing room
                            will be required
                        -- Whether telephone/Internet services will
                            be ordered through Soapbox Systems
                    -- Fax or email requests to:

                    -- Only full-time print, broadcast and online
                        news media staff (editorial) are eligible
                        for credentials. No guests.
                    -- Credentials are not transferable.

                        must be presented to pick up a credential:

                            media credential issued by a law
                            enforcement agency, e.g., Los Angeles
                            Police Department, Los Angeles County
                            Sheriff's Department

                    -- Credentials grant admission to the media
                        filing room, spin room and stand-up locations.
                        Only media pool members will be allowed into
                        Bovard Auditorium.

Telephone and
 Internet Service   Deadline: Feb. 20, 5 p.m. PST

                    News organizations must establish their own
                     telephone and/or Internet services for the media
                     filing room on campus.

                    All telephone and/or Internet services must be
                     ordered and paid for in advance online at
                     www.websoapbox.com or by phone at 703-750-2141.
                     To ensure that your services are established in
                     time for the Feb. 26 debate, please place and pay
                     for your order by 5 p.m. PST, Friday, Feb. 20.

                    Note: News organizations will be responsible for
                     providing their own phone sets.

                    Soapbox Systems will provide a high-speed Wi-Fi
                     wireless Internet access "hot spot" within the
                     media filing room. Reporters using a laptop, PDA
                     or other Wi-Fi 802.11b wirelessly enabled device
                     may order wireless broadband Internet access for
                     a flat fee.

                    Reporters without an 802.11b wireless-enabled
                     device may order broadband Internet access for a
                     flat fee. Access will be provided via a
                     hard-wired Ethernet line.

                        on-campus.

                    -- Limited media parking available on a first-come
                        basis. Hosted by USC.
                    -- Proper media credentials must be presented for
                        free parking.

TV Truck Parking    -- Limited on-campus parking for TV trucks
                        (microwave and/or satellite) broadcasting
                        from USC
                    -- Available on a first-come basis along Trousdale
                        Parkway near stand-up area.
                    -- Early access: Begins at 8 a.m. PST, Feb. 26.
                    -- Enter: Gate 5 on Jefferson Blvd. at McClintock
                        Ave., east of Vermont Ave.
                    -- To access this area:
                        -- TV truck license plate numbers must be
                            provided by noon, Feb. 25.

                        -- Crew members intending to use the stand-up
                            location must obtain debate media
                            credentials at the media check-in desk.
                    -- Equipment must be attended at all times.

Stand-up Location   -- Near northeast corner of Bovard Auditorium
                        at the on-campus intersection of Trousdale
                        Parkway and Hellman Way.
                    --  Hours: 2 p.m. to midnight
                    --  Limited TV truck parking will be available
                         near this location.
                    --  No passenger vehicles will be allowed to park
                         in this area.
                    --  No supplemental power will be provided.
                    --  Cable throws:
                        -- TV truck parking area to stand-up location:
                            Up to 300 feet
                        -- Truck parking area to spin room:
                            Up to 1,000 feet
                        -- All cables must follow a designated,
                            clearly marked cable path that also
                            includes two flights of stairs.

Media Check-in      -- Media check-in desk and security screening
                        station will be located on Hellman Way between
                        Bovard Auditorium and Taper Hall.
                    -- Hours: 2-7 p.m.
                    -- Media representatives must pick up their own
                        credentials.
                    -- Two of the following forms of identification
                        must be presented:
                        -- Current year network photo I.D. or news
                            media credential issued by a law
                            enforcement agency, e.g., Los Angeles
                            Police Department, Los Angeles County
                            Sheriff's Department
                        -- Valid state driver's license
                        -- Passport

Media Filing Room   -- Only for debate-credentialed print and online
                        reporters filing from the debate. No guests.
                    -- Location: North Gym, second floor, Physical
                        Education Bldg., USC campus
                    -- Hours: 2 p.m. to midnight
                    -- Entrance: Media check-in station.
                    -- Seating is limited and on a first-come basis.
                    -- News organizations intending to send more than
                        two reporters should contact David Garcia,
                        Los Angeles Times, 213/237-4715.
                    -- News organizations must establish their own
                        telephone and/or Internet services
                        (Soapbox Systems) for the media filing room on
                        campus. Deadline: 5 p.m. PST, Friday, Feb. 20.
                    -- Television monitors will be provided for debate
                        viewing.
                    -- Multbox will be available to radio outlets. No
                        video excerpting permitted.
                    -- Reporters requiring special assistance, e.g.,
                        elevator or parking access, should contact

Spin Room           -- Ground-floor lobby (Hellman Way entrance) of
                        the Annenberg School for Communication,
                        located across from the Physical Education
                        Bldg.
                    -- Hours: 2 p.m. to midnight
                    -- Only debate-credentialed media will be allowed
                        into the spin room.
                    -- Television monitor will be provided for debate
                        viewing.
                    -- Equipment must be attended at all times.
                    -- Candidates and their press aides will be
                        invited to the spin room. Briefings will be
                        conducted at the sole discretion of each
                        campaign.
                    -- Cable throw from spin room to TV truck parking:
                        Up to 1,000 feet. All cables must follow a
                        designated cable path that includes two
                        flights of stairs.
                    -- Broadcast-quality lighting will be provided.
                    -- USC will make faculty experts available for
                        interviews:
