 Commissioner Spike Helmick this afternoon ordered the grounding of seven Cessna 206 aircraft (half the fleet) operated by the CHP CHP Chapter

. Helmick's order came after receiving a mandatory service bulletin from Textron Lycoming, the manufacturer of the aircraft's engine. The bulletin warns of serious crankshaft problems and instructs that the engines be returned to their Pennsylvania Pennsylvania (pĕnsəlvā`nyə), one of the Middle Atlantic states of the United States. It is bordered by New Jersey, across the Delaware River (E), Delaware (SE), Maryland (S), West Virginia (SW), Ohio (W), and Lake Erie and New York  factory for repairs.

It is believed that the repairs will keep the CHP aircraft out of service for two weeks.
