WHAT:   CHCI Opens Technology Center for Emerging Latino Leaders
        with Contribution from Dell: Dell and CHCI will unveil the
        CHCI-Dell Technology Center for Latino Leadership with
        representatives from Congress, CHCI board members, Dell
        executives and others. CHCI public policy fellows,
        congressional interns and participants of the High School
        Leaders Program will use the center for leadership training.

        Thurmond Woodard, Dell's vice president of global diversity,
        and Rosenda Parra, Dell's senior vice president, Americas,
        will both be available to discuss this Dell-CHCI
        partnership, digital inclusion and diversity.

WHY:    The technology center will provide intensive leadership
        training so that CHCI postgraduate students, high-school
        leaders and interns can advance their skills related to:
        public-policy recommendations, grant writing, community
        service and political campaigns.

        Dell is committed to providing affordable and accessible
        technology to everyone. Currently, Dell has more than 20 U.S.
        school districts participating in its technology training
        program, TechKnow, for underserved middle-school students.
