WHAT: Each year, the CDMA Development Group (CDG) (www.cdg.org)
presents the 3G CDMA Industry Achievement Awards, which
honor the commitment and accomplishments of the world's
leading companies and individuals in the 3G mobile industry.
Awards will be given in the categories of Industry
Leadership, International Leadership, Service Innovation,
Subscriber Technology Innovation, Network Technology
Innovation, Innovative Solutions and Innovative
Applications. There is also a write-in category where you
may suggest an award of your own design. The nominations for
this year's Achievement Awards are open to the public and
are being accepted by the CDG through April 25. Final
selection of the award winners will be determined by a panel
of judges that will include 3G operators and equipment
suppliers, members of industry associations, media and
analysts.
The 3G CDMA Industry Achievement Awards will be presented at
the 3G World Congress, which will be held June 9-13, 2003,
at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Hong
Kong.
WHO: The CDMA Development Group is a trade association formed to
foster the worldwide development, implementation and use of
cdmaOne(TM) and CDMA2000. The 110 member companies of the
CDG include many of the world's largest wireless operators
and equipment manufacturers. The primary activities of the
CDG include development of CDMA features and services,
public relations, education and seminars, regulatory affairs
and international support. Currently, there are more than
500 individuals working within various CDG subcommittees on
