Verizon Wireless Cellco Partnership, doing business as Verizon Wireless, owns and operates the second largest wireless telecommunications network in the United States, based on total wireless customers.  


What:      Americans feel that nearly an hour of their time is wasted
           everyday. This 4th of July, expect precious time to slip
           away while delayed in airports, waiting for friends and
           family, and standing in long lines for last-minute
           groceries.

           Following are some results from the survey:

           -- 34 percent of Americans say lost time eats up 45 minutes
              or more of each day

           -- 70 percent of Californians indicate the 405 Freeway on a
              Friday afternoon is their biggest time hole

           -- 14 percent identified the doctor's office waiting room
              and 10 percent chose the U.S. postal offices as places
              their time is wasted

Why:       Mobile Web, a new service by Verizon Wireless with MSN is
           one way to take advantage of wasted time. Now millions of
           Americans across the country can access e-mail, send and
           receive instant messages, check Internet information and
           make phone calls, in line, in the airport, or virtually
           anywhere.

How:       The survey, conducted from May 3 to May 8, 2002, involved
           1,586 people and had a 2.5 percent margin of error. Global
           marketing research and consulting firm, Burskin/Roper ASW,
           conducted the survey.
