WHAT: Brooks Sports Inc. continues its 2002 Muddy Buddy(R) Ride
and Run Event Series in Atlanta on Sunday, October 6. The
one-of-a-kind team competition will take place outside
Atlanta at Georgia International Horse Park. The race
consists of teams of two running and biking through 10
kilometers of trails, challenging obstacles and the
           infamous Muddy Buddy(R) mud pit.

    WHEN: Sunday, October 6 at 9 a.m.

WHERE: Georgia International Horse Park outside Atlanta in
           Conyers, GA

WHY: The unique Brooks Muddy Buddy(R) 10K event works like a
relay. One participant is running while the other is
biking. At each mile mark, the cyclist drops the bike and
conquers an obstacle and transitions to the runner, while
the runner completes the obstacle course and transitions to
the cyclist. Race divisions include elite, co-ed, male,
female and Beast (team combined weight of more than 400
pounds). Winners from regional races qualify to compete in
the Brooks Muddy Buddy(R) World Championship on Catalina
Island off the coast of southern California on
           December 6, 2002.
