WHO:   Sutton Foster, 2002 Tony Award winner for best actress in a
       musical and Michigan native, will speak to a group of 200
       drama and musical theatre high school students from across
       the state of Michigan.

WHAT:  Foster will be in Detroit for the 18th Annual ArtServe
       Michigan Governor's Awards for Arts & Culture to receive the
       Emerging Artist Award, presented by ArtServe Michigan, to a
       given to a Michigan artist of exceptional talent and potential.
       The awards gala is sponsored by ArtServe Michigan and serves
       as its primary fundraiser. ArtServe Michigan is an independent
       statewide organization that builds support for the arts,
       artists and cultural activities among citizens of Michigan
       through advocacy, education and services.

WHEN:  Tuesday, November 11, 2003
       The Student "Talkback" begins at 9:30 a.m. and will last until
       approximately 11:30 a.m.

       THE PRESS IS INVITED TO ATTEND; THERE WILL BE PHOTO
       OPPORTUNITIES OF FOSTER INTERACTING WITH STUDENTS. FOSTER WILL
       ANSWER A FEW QUESTIONS AFTER THE STUDENT SESSION.

WHERE: --Talkback held in Allesee Hall at Max M. Fisher Music Center.
       Use the Woodward Avenue Entrance for easiest access to the
       Allesee Hall.

       --Awards Ceremony is held Monday, November 10th at the Max M.
       Fisher Music Center, 3711 Woodward Avenue and Parsons, between
       Mack and Warren, one quarter-mile south of the John C. Lodge
       Freeway; Awards Ceremony begins at 8:00 p.m.
