Who: Make-A-Wish Foundation(R) of Michigan wish recipient, Jessica
Waldron
What: Jessica Waldron will perform songs from her debut CD live at
two area Borders stores in Troy and Utica
Why: Thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan and
Borders(R), Jessica Waldron's dream of becoming a recording artist
and having her CD carried by a major retailer has now come true.
This talented and inspirational 18-year-old from Redford Township
has a fascinating story to tell. Throughout her young life Jessica
has suffered from End Stage Renal Disease, but through it all her
dream of singing kept her going. Each day continues to pose
challenges for Jessica; however, her health has improved
dramatically since she underwent a life-saving transplant,
receiving her mother's kidney. Jessica is one of thousands of
children whose ultimate wish has come true as a result of the
Make-A-Wish Foundation - the organization that grants the wishes
of children with life-threatening illnesses to enrich the human
experience with hope, strength and joy.
