WHO:    Nearly 1,500 Boeing employee volunteers from all around the
        country will come together to decorate the company's
        Tournament of Roses Parade float, "Through the Years."

        These volunteers are dedicating their free time to transform
        the six-segment decade train into a majestic and floral float.

        This is Boeing's third consecutive entry in the Tournament of
        Roses Parade and at 130 feet, the float is the longest in the
        parade.

        Of the 38,000 Boeing employees in California, the majority are
        employed in the Space and Communications business, which
        has headquarters in Seal Beach.

        Boeing is among the largest private manufacturing employers in
        the state.

WHAT:   This is a unique photo opportunity, offering a glimpse at an
        important stage of the Boeing Rose Parade Float creation.
        Reporters and photographers (still and video) are welcome to
        observe the decoration activities and the tremendous
        logistical work involved.

        A Boeing spokesperson also will be on hand to answer any
        questions.

WHEN:   Saturday, Dec. 15, from 10 a.m. to noon
