WHAT:       Martin Luther King III will deliver a message of hope and
            civility to employees of Boeing Satellite Systems in
            El Segundo, Calif. Media are welcome.

WHEN:       Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001

TIME:       noon to 1 p.m.

WHERE:      Boeing Satellite Systems Inc.
            2020 East Imperial Highway
            El Segundo

WHO:        Martin Luther King III, president of the Southern
             Christian Leadership Conference
            Tig Krekel, president of Boeing Satellite Systems
            Joseph DeSarla, executive vice president,
             Boeing Satellite Systems

OTHER:      There will be an opportunity for print, electronic and
            television media to interview King following the ceremony.

            Directions from the 105 Freeway -- Exit the West 105
            Freeway at Nash Street. At the end of the exit ramp, go
            right onto Imperial Highway. Take Imperial to Hughes Way,
            a signaled intersection. At Hughes Way, go left into
            campus. Parking will be in the second lot on the left,
            across from Gate 2. Media check-in will be at Gate 2. The
            doors to the event will be closed at 11:45 a.m.

TV EDITORS: Live video of this event will be carried on the GE-2
            satellite, transponder No. 01 in Ku-band. You are welcome
            to use the feed in your news broadcasts.
