              Author Slated to Discuss and Autograph His
             New Book, `Castaways of the Flying Dutchman'

          WHAT: New York Times best-selling children's author and writer
              of the famous Redwall book series, Brian Jacques, is
              slated to discuss and autograph his newest novel,
              Castaways of the Flying Dutchman, on Wednesday, April 4,
              at 5:00 p.m. His appearance precedes the April 7th
              launch of the animated Redwall series on nationwide
              public television.

          WHO:  New York Times best-selling author Brian Jacques was
              born in Liverpool, England in 1939. He is a former
              seaman, longshoreman, truck driver, policeman, bus
              driver, a boxer and a stand-up comic whose books have
              sold millions of copies around the world. Jacques' fresh
              talent has received exceptional praise from reviewers in
              the United States and England ever since his first
              children's book was published in 1986.

                Castaways of the Flying Dutchman contains all of the
              Jacquesian elements which have made the best-selling
              Redwall series internationally renowned, including his
              love of mysteries, comedy, anagrams and riddles.
