What: On Tuesday, August 6 at 12:01 a.m., "The Lord of the
Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" will be available
for purchase on DVD or VHS at the Best Buy in
Bridgeton.
Prior to the release of "The Lord of the Rings: The
Fellowship of the Ring," local radio stations will be
onsite from 10:30 p.m. to midnight to host special
events and giveaways.
"The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" was
an immediate hit in theaters ranking as the number two
top grossing movie in the U.S. for 2001. It recently
won two awards at the MTV 2002 Movie Awards, including
`Best Movie' and `Breakout Performance, Male' for actor
Orlando Bloom. At the 2002 Academy Awards, "The Lord of
the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" was nominated
for `Best Picture', and won Oscars for the `Best
Cinematography, Effects, Makeup and Music.'
