WHAT: Co-sponsored by The Salvation Army and LA5 Rotary,
Celebrity Bell Ringing provides an opportunity for
celebrities to heighten awareness about The Salvation
Army's Christmas Kettle campaign. Throughout the day,
celebrities and Rotarians will don a bell ringer apron,
ring a silver bell and man a red kettle in a show of
support for The Salvation Army.

HISTORY: Dating back to 1891, the Christmas kettle campaign started
as a way to give the hungry a free Christmas dinner.
Today, The Salvation Army continues that tradition by
using kettle donations to serve homeless and low-income
families not just during Christmas, but year-round as well.
