The City of Bellflower launches the holiday season with the annual Holiday Tree Lighting celebration on Friday, December 6, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Friendship Square in Downtown Bellflower. The popular community event, which draws nearly 5,000 guests, features a wide variety of attractions including live entertainment, refreshments, a scooter and skate rink, hayrides, and recreational games and activities for youngsters of all ages. Santa Claus
 will make a visit to meet with children and pose for photos. The annual Holiday Tree Lighting celebration is free and open to all. Plenty of free parking is available. For details, contact the Bellflower Parks & Recreation Department at 562/804-1424 (ext. 2278).
