In June 2002, a diverse group of business leaders came together to respond to President Bush's Call to Service and celebrate corporate community involvement. Following an initial meeting at the White House with the President, business leaders from Fortune 500 corporations to small, locally owned businesses, have worked collaboratively to define a national, business-driven effort to engage the corporate community in volunteer service. On December 10, members of Business Strengthening America will hear from President George W. Bush, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Don Evans Ev·ans , Herbert McLean 1882-1971. American anatomist who isolated four pituitary hormones and discovered vitamin E (1922). and USA Freedom Corps The USA Freedom Corps is a body within the Executive Office of the President of the United States, the President serving as its chair. Its creation was announced by George W. Director John Bridgeland John M. Bridgeland (b. May 1, 1960) is CEO of Civic Enterprises, a public policy firm in Washington, D.C. [1] and CEO of Malaria No More[2], a non-profit launched at the White House Summit on Malaria[3] as they meet to launch BSA, announce the objectives of the multi-year campaign and participate in an afternoon of service. Immediately following the morning session, BSA members will join with The Home Depot The Home Depot (NYSE: HD) is an American retailer of home improvement and construction products and services.
